We got our basement finished by C&A renovations. Amir and his team helped with initial ideas and layout as well. Amir really knows his work and is quite skilled at it. They did the entire basement from scratch from framing, drywalling, flooring, painting and a 3 piece bathroom. They were also responsible for getting material. They also helped us later when we pointed a few problems after a couple of months. Overall, we are satisfied. I have taken 1/2 star off for some finishing touches and the paint job which were done hastily. Some obvious spots too had to be pointed out repeatedly. This does not reflect on skills though but may be slight casual behavior or urgency to finish the job. However, we would recommend them to anyone requiring to finish their basement or for other work such as flooring, bathroom renovation and likewise. Just be very clear about the quality of materials to be installed beforehand, understand what the term standard material involves or get the material yourself to avoid any disagreements later. When we moved in, the previous owners had removed the main light fixture and installed a ceiling fan without a light. After 10 years, it was finally time to upgrade to a fan with an integrated light. With only a single power wire available and wanting to avoid a remote setup, I reached out to C & A Renovations. Amir and John responded quickly, came by to assess the work, and provided a clear and reasonable quote. They also evaluated our bathroom light/fan combo and replaced the wiring with 14/3, allowing for independent control of the light and fan via an updated switch. This wasn’t a straightforward job—the previous owners had tiled the bathroom and left only a small opening for a basic toggle switch. Amir and John handled it professionally, carefully cutting the tile to fit the new switch without compromising the look. Despite the added complexity, the final cost only increased slightly.
